Supporting Learning at Home

Supporting Learning at Home:  When families reinforce learning at home, kids do better at school. Middle and high school students still need engaged adult family members to be successful.  One way that families can support learning at home with older students is to support effective study habits and find resources when students are struggling.  Check out these resources:

  • Brain Fuse from the WC Libraries is free and provides live tutoring and expert online help.
  • Khan Academy –has free middle and high school videos for math, science and so many other subjects aligned to standards.
  • Study Habits – support the 10 habits of successful students

Supporting learning at home is one of the 5 Roles Families Play to accelerate student learning.
